A mother's impatience leads to a curse, paving the way for the hatching of a cosmic power.
Vinata, one of Sage Kashyapa's wives, longed for children of great radiance. In time she received eggs, but impatience overcame her before destiny had matured.
From this impatience came sorrow, but also a prophecy: another child would rise with immeasurable brilliance and strength. That child would be Garuda, born for a task far greater than earthly kingship.
The winged one would not merely live among beings,
he would shake the worlds and test the heavens.
When Garuda finally emerged, his force was unbearable to behold. The sky blazed with his presence, and even divine beings recognized that a power beyond ordinary measure had entered creation.
